discovering me

My friend Andy posted this on his blog, and I piqued my interested enough that I’m following suit. The deal is that you follow this link and choose 5-6 characteristics that describe me. Then type a name (if you want to be annonymous, just type a random letter of the alphabet) and hit submit. It takes like 30 seconds. It sorts the results into groups based on what I chose and what my friends choose and what we both choose.

I’m still recovering from 2 very busy weeks, but I’m going to go ahead and start the picture show! Last Friday-Monday I was in Wenatchee with the Jr. High students I volunteer with. We sleep in tents, listen to awesome speakers each morning/evening, do fun activities in the afternoon, and have an evening talent show/game night each night.

Here I am during the last quarter-mile of our rafting trip after I let the rest of my crew jump off the boat. I managed to steer us home, but definitly turned a few circles on the way.

I’ve decided to start my condo search again. I’m having a lot of trouble pulling the trigger though. It’s prolly one of those things that I won’t mess up once i get started but I’m so scared that an initial decision is going to send things down the wrong path. Do i call a realtor before or after i get pre-approved for a loan? And can I just got to my bank to get pre-approved for *a* loan and then figure out where i really want to get my loan from later? And when is a broker a good idea/bad idea? if you answer all my questions I’ll make the calls tomorrow.

Unfortunatly I got this at 11:30

I’ve been pushing myself harder than usual this week and I’m ready for life to calm down. I’m not used to getting up at 6:30 or going back to work at 11pm to finish things up.
Unfortunatly the calm I want won’t happen until Tuesday which means I’ve got 5 hard days ahead of me, and unfortunatly it looks like its going to get harder still when i hand over my life fully to camp this weekend. Oh how i long for the glorious night which will be next Monday.

In news related only by the fact that I wanted them to get here before camp started, my new shoes arrived!!! WooHoo!!!! They’re so adorable. I’ll model them soon.

It’s time for my next Improv Class Showcase!

Wednesday, August 2nd at 8pm at the Market Theatre at Pike’s Place Market.
Tickets are $10 and include free beer.

my class is one of 4 performing. This time we’re doing a game called “TopsyTurvydum.” We get a suggestion from the audience and start doing a scene based on the suggestion. When that scene ends (or when we decide to end it–sometimes those are different things) we start new scene (involving all, some or none of the people from the previous scene) that involves something that is an opposite from the previous scene. The opposites could be obvious or subtle, over or underplayed.
We’ve done several of these in class and one was really good, one was sorta good, and one was less good. Just so you know.

I’m going to be in another show on Thurs August 31st (and then another one in early Dec)—but I don’t have more details yet…
update: the next show was moved to August 31st correcting that here!
